Customer Service Associate

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Customer Service, the Customer Service Associate will deliver a broad range of customer service activities and specialized information to external and internal customers/users of municipal services. The position will assist customers in securing services, completing bill payment transactions, registering for various programs, obtaining permits or licences, as well as respond to a broad range of inquiries. The Customer Service Associate is the first line of contact with individuals seeking information and/or requiring services in person, via telephone, voice/e-mail, social media and Internet.

Credentials: Post-secondary courses in Business Administration, Office Administration, Customer Service or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience in a municipal office environment with multi-service provision and/or a broad knowledge of a variety of municipal services. Proficient in the use of MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel and Outlook) and demonstrated comfort level with the Internet. Due to the responsibilities of this position a Police Information Check satisfactory to the Municipality is required.
