Sub Foreperson
Reporting to the Foreperson, the Sub Foreperson will oversee the assigned work duties set out by the Patrol Foreperson. This role is responsible for the supervision of work crews and provides direction, technical expertise and assistance to workers ensuring work zone safety, proper set up and use of equipment and completion of records. The incumbent will perform various duties of the Foreperson in their absence. As required, this role also participates as a member of the work crew and responsibilities include maintenance of drainage infrastructure such as catch basins, maintenance holes, storm sewers, ditches and culverts, removal of debris, tree cutting, grass cutting/trimming. Perform maintenance and installation of roadside safety infrastructure such as signage, guide rails, pavement markings and emergency road closure signage. Patrol and inspect the road system infrastructure to identify, inventory and document conditions for Minimum Maintenance Standards compliance and asset management.
