Sign Technician Labour
Reporting to the Foreperson, the Sign Technician Labour is responsible for coordinating and fabricating signage for the Transportation & Environmental Services Department, as well as other departments within the County and some lower tier municipalities. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring signage meets appropriate regulatory requirements, collecting traffic data throughout the summer season and completing labour duties as required. Responsibilities also include production, supply and inventory of all of the County’s roadway signage, plan and design signs using computer software, coordinate with operations employees regarding the proper installation, signage requirements and replacement of signs, installing and removing traffic calming devices and equipment as instructed, provide speed data analysis reports, oversee line painting operations.
