Primary Care Paramedic
The Primary Care Paramedic provides direct patient care in accordance with accepted pre-hospital care standards, and transports patients as required, under the direction of the Shift Superintendent. Responsibilities include examining and assessing patient(s) condition in both emergency and nonemergency situations and ensuring the safe transport of patients and other passengers. Carry out triage in multiple patient situations and call for additional assistance as required. Drive emergency vehicles in a safe and professional manner in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act, and under the direction of the Central Ambulance Communications Centre (CACC).
