Mechanic

Responsible for assisting the Fleet Supervisor in the servicing of the Municipal Fleet (Public Works, Fire, Recycle, and By-laws) and equipment including annual motor vehicle safety inspection, preventative maintenance procedures and associated documentation/record-keeping and liaison duties; mobile repair service for fire vehicles and other equipment as required, maintaining shop area in a clean and safe manner, and vehicle/equipment operation as assigned.

Credentials: Current Provincial Class “A” Mechanics Licence, Truck and Coach Technician (310T), Automotive Service Technician (310S). Emergency Vehicle Technician Certificate (E.V. T. Fire) is preferred. Class “D” Driver’s Licence with “Z” Air Brake Endorsement in good standing.
