Manager, Library Programs and Community Engagement

Reporting to the Library CEO, the Manager, Programs & Community Engagement
oversees the Programs and Community Engagement Division which provides Library services outside of the Library, and programs to bring people into the Library. This role manages a portfolio of Programming, Community Engagement, Events, Outreach, Visiting Library Services, Marketing and Social Media and is responsible for proposing new strategies and long-term initiatives relative to programming, future requirements and administrative changes. This role also leads and manages the staff and the operations of Programming and Community Engagement team.

Credentials:
Post Secondary degree in Humanities, Recreation and Leisure Studies, Business Administration or Communication or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters of Library and Information Sciences degree from an accredited institution an asset. Demonstrated experience of 5 to 7 years in a public library at a managerial/supervisory level.
