Library Technician I

Responsible for providing reference service to the public in the Library. Maintains and inputs into the information databases. Locates and verifies information in the Library’s collection or in other Libraries. Provides copy cataloguing and modification. Assists with collection maintenance. Assists with providing programming for Adults, Young Adults and Children. Instructs and assists the public in the proper use of microfilm reader/printers, photocopiers, computers and printers, the Internet and the Online Public Access Catalogues (OPAC). Responsible for limited selection and ordering of materials under supervision of the appropriate Department Head.

Credentials: Library Technician Diploma. Experience working in a library environment.
