Library Digital Services Coordinator

Reporting to the CEO, The Digital Services Coordinator is responsible for monitoring technology trends and translating them into a timely opportunity for the library. Responsible for virtual spaces and the library management system, IT planning and technical training and support of Library Staff. Collaborates with the Child & Youth Librarian and Communication & Programming Coordinator with digital programs, operates and backs up the circulation desk for specified shifts, and assists the CEO when needed. Develops and manages the website. Manages, enhances, and expands the library’s digital service offerings and initiatives such as electronic resources and databases, selection of vendors and product management. Coordinates promotion of electronic resources and databases through social media with the Adult Services Librarian and Library Assistants. Organizes and/or provides digital and technical support and training to staff. Acts as the initial staff support for public library systems including software, hardware, and ILS (Integrated Library System) system settings, upgrades, and integration of resources. Provides technical support and assistance to staff in the day-to-day operations and management of the current ILS. Creates, reviews, and evaluates the Technology Plan as required. Supports the CEO with Board report submissions. Provides community development and outreach. Responds to complaints, identifies problems, and consults with appropriate staff for corrective actions and solutions. Opens and secures the building and performs minor janitorial duties where required.
Credentials: College diploma, tech related diploma, library technician diploma or degree for Library Technician, computer technology or related field or related experience.
