Library Assistant I

Reports to the Customer Experience Supervisor and assists the Supervisor in the operation of the Circulation Services Department including the provision of prompt courteous service. Ensures that materials are organized and accessible. Ensures materials borrowed are returned to the Library and that the Library is compensated for extended use and/or replacement costs. Maintains privacy of patrons’ files. Presents a positive image of the Library to the public and maintain harmonious relations with staff and the public.

Credentials: Formal academic training at a secondary school graduate level. Experience in a Public Library environment would be beneficial.
