Land Use Planning Manager

Reporting to the Director, the Manager of Land Use Planning is responsible for the leadership, management and daily operations of the land use planning function, ensuring that the Corporation’s Official Plan is kept updated as an active document and providing service and support to the municipalities in all planning matters. The Manager provides leadership on land use planning for the Corporation and a number of local municipalities, leads and supports inter-municipal and corporate working groups/teams and ensures delivery of programs and services that are consistent with the strategic objectives of the Corporation. The incumbent represents the Corporation at the regional and provincial level as required.

Credentials: University Degree in Planning which is recognized by OPPI/CIP and extensive progressive experience in land use planning. Experience in supervisory/management, membership in Ontario Professional Planning Institute, and registered Professional Planner designation. Experience with financial management and budgeting with strong knowledge of, and experience in, a municipal setting, along with proven experience with resource management.
