The Electrician is responsible for the installation, testing and repair of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment. Maintains electrical distribution and control panels. Re-wires existing facilities. Tests and repairs all electrical equipment. Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance system for all electrical systems. Maintains logs and other documentation and assists Ontario Electrical Safety Authority with facility inspections. Provides assistance and customer service liaison duties within departments.
Credentials: Formal academic training in facility operation or maintenance and progressive experience performing electrical installation, repair and maintenance in the province of Ontario. Must possesses the valid appropriate certificate of qualification issued to an electrician in accordance with the provisions of the trades Qualification Act and is entitled to work in the province of Ontario. Progressive facility maintenance experience required. Experience with the repair and maintenance of electronic building control systems required. Class “G” Driver’s Licence in good standing. Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
