Senior management position in the municipality responsible for the Official Plan and subdivision plans and for the direction and coordination of all activities of the Planning Department i.e., Policy Research/Long-Range Planning and Current Planning/Development Reviews. Responsibilities include oversight of all planning activities, coordination of planning operations with other departments, provision of technical advice and assistance to the CAO and Council. Maintenance of good relationships with the community and representation of the long-term interests of the municipality with the public, community associations/groups, special-interest groups, commercial interests, developers, architectural/engineering firms, suppliers/contractors, and regulatory officials at the federal and provincial levels.
