Communications Graphic Designer

Under the direction of the Director, Corporate Communications, the Communications Graphic Designer is responsible for providing graphic design services that promote the Municipality and the services it delivers. The position will provide technical expertise in the creation of a wide range of deliverables (advertisements, posters, publications, marketing materials, etc.). This position will report to the Corporate Communications department and will work closely with the Graphic Designer (Recreation and Culture) to ensure consistency of the corporate brand.

Credentials: Community College Diploma in Graphic Design and demonstrated experience in a graphic design/marketing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency in the use of software packages including, but not limited to – Adobe Creative Suite CS3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat Professional), Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere; Quark Express; Microsoft Office (MS PowerPoint, MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-Outlook, MS Publisher); photography, web design and copywriting skills are required. Experience with CLASS software is an asset. Class “G” Driver’s Licence in good standing and a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
