Child Care Case Worker

Reporting to the Child Care Program Supervisor, the Child Care Caseworker provides efficient administration of the Fee Subsidy/Home Child Care Programs. The Caseworker approves Home Child Care Providers for licensing with the Home Child Care Program. This includes screening, inspecting and monitoring contracted Home Child Care Providers in keeping with the regulations of the Child Care and Early Years Act.

Credentials: Post-secondary diploma in Child Studies, Early Childhood Education, or a related field and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Experience in a childcare setting, an understanding of home child care, and knowledge of various children’s services programs.
