Reporting to the Manager of Economic Development, the primary role of the Business Enterprise Coordinator is to provide assistance, training, education and support to individuals starting, expanding or running a business. The position implements programming and consultation across the municipality as per Ministry agreements and in support of the Economic Development Strategy through the promotion and delivery of innovative entrepreneurial activities, handles inquires and scheduling, assists with planning and administration of programs and workshops, coordinates marketing for seminars, workshops, and events, provides programming support to the Economic Development Manager, maintains client and contact databases, and collects business and program statistics. This position also maintains the operation of the office and programs in the absence of the Manager, maintains the Innovation Centre social media platforms, and provides administrative support for invoicing and payments.
Credentials: University graduation or equivalent degree in Business Administration or related field. Relevant experience required. Strong oral and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent Microsoft Office skills, statistics software beneficial.
