Reporting to the Housing Program Manager, the Program Assistant provides administrative and clerical support including answering phones and inquiries, updating reports and databases, completing reports and other administrative duties, processing tenant move-in’s, move-outs and transfers, creating lease packages and letters, and updating and monitoring the Direct Pay List for Tenants on the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP). The position maintains the Rent Supplement system including reporting move-ins and move-outs, accepts applications, ensures correct information is provided, enters applications in the database, checks for arrears, sends acknowledgement letters and creates files, maintains the Provincial Arrears database for the municipality and non-profit providers, and creates custodian packages for Property Supervisors annually. The position also assists with monthly waitlist updates with non-profit providers and provides temporary forgiveness/rent adjustments for tenants monthly.
Credentials: Post-secondary education and knowledge of the specific program. Experience and knowledge of computer, clerical and accounting procedures.
